Hi all,
I am sorry I have not been on the blog lately. I usually am sick of computers by the time I am free.
I really want to share this video of our newest family member enjoying a swim. He was given to us by a really good friend. He is definitely a gift that keeps on giving, in a good way. Enjoy!

/ October 22, 2009Cute! Is Crush the kind of turtle you can take out of the tank for playtime?

/ October 22, 2009Yes, you have wash your hands before and after so you both stay healthy. He is a lot of fun. I have not gotten him out yet because I want him to have a chance o get use to his new mansion.
Acilius: you spelled Crushie’s name wrong on You Tube. Please fix it.

You should mention that the reason Crushie doesn’t get out of the tank as often at our house as he did at his previous residence is that we live with a certain beagle-terrier mix who is so devoted to his job as an exterminator that no non-mammalian life forms have much chance of survival when they are on the loose here.

/ October 23, 2009My Ting is a housefly exterminator. I think she knows I’m terrified of them. Ting is a very quiet, reserved, reclusive cat, but shen she spies a fly, she goes absolutely nuts! Leaps, spins, flips through the air. She becomes a fly-ingesting machine. I’d film it and put it on the blog if I wasn’t cowering in the corner.

/ October 28, 2009Crushie is a cutie! More vids, especially of him eating (and what he eats…is it all “turtle kibble” or will there be “live food”?), please.

/ October 28, 2009He eats fresh things. He’s picky about fish, which is good news for our goldfish. And he’s refused to eat the carrot Mrs Acilius put in his tank a few days ago. But spinach, lettuce, turkey, etc, he eats all those things.

/ October 28, 2009I’m also putting in a request for more pet videos! How about Bingo and Phoenix next? Or Crush playing with the mysterious goldfish. Have you guys leveled off at 4 pets now?
acilius
/ October 28, 2009Yes, we’ve been at four pets for some time. I’d specify that the Believer and I have three pets, the dogs and the turtle. We didn’t mean for the goldfish to be a pet. We’d fed some goldfish to our previous turtle, Patton. Then Patton decided she’d rather have company than a snack. So the goldfish was her pet, and is now Crushie’s pet.
