Merry Christmas Early!! ‘A’ got me an ALF doll for christmas. I love it. I have wanted one since I was a kid. My advice to all this season is to find a way to reconnect with a good childhood memory. It’s wonderful and very healing. as well as, refreshing for the heart and sprit. I miss the ALF show. It was cute and funny. I wonder if any of the 100s of TV channels show reruns. I have not found them yet.
Here Kity Kity.

/ December 9, 2009I’m glad you like the ALF doll!
It’s weird what is and what isn’t on in reruns.

/ December 10, 2009“Married with Children is one of my fav shows!” Then you’re well served by basic cable; I’ve noticed one of the channels (TV Land?) seems to run it more or less constantly.

/ December 10, 2009Yes, it serves me well! I even got Mr. Cymast kinda sorta into it when he saw how much I was laughing.

/ December 10, 2009Glad you like it. The only old show I regularly watch on TV is Hogan’s Heroes, which I grant you is an indefensible idea for a show. It’s impressive to me how they take such an appalling idea and make it work as well as they do. Mrs Acilius had never seen it before she watched it with me; her first response was to listen to the laugh track, look at the screen, and ask in horror “Why are there Nazis in this?” But now, I’ve managed to get her “kinda sorta into it.”

/ December 10, 2009“Why are there Nazis in this?” lol anyway . .
I went through a brief Hogan’s Heroes phase, but the more I learned about Nazis, the more I didn’t want to see them portrayed- comically or otherwise- on TV.

/ December 10, 2009There are Hogan’s Heroes phases?
I can certainly understand not wanting to see Nazis at all, or only wanting to see them as objects of scientific study. If you were to say that the whole premise of Hogan’s Heroes was obscene, I couldn’t argue against you. I’m fascinated by it just because it does show what a group of skillful writers and other show-biz professionals can do with even the least promising material.

/ December 10, 2009I mean I, myself, went through a Hogan’s Heroes phase of watching and liking it. And I agree- hats off to those writers and actors!
