I love the line, “in fact, that will be the end of Star Trek.” Here I thought Star Trek was canceled almost 40 years ago. Apparently that isn’t good enough for some people.
Maybe the NBC executives who took Star Trek off the air have spent the last 40 years on a Captain Ahab-like vendetta against the show. Maybe they are the ones who persuaded Congress to fund the Kepler probe, hoping that it would finally destroy Star Trek once and for all. If so, they should have called it the Pequod instead of the Kepler.
