Spiderman opening

At noon on days when I was six, channel 44 from Chicago showed the Marvel Superhero cartoons from the sixties.  These cartoons were shorts featuring in turn six of that company’s characters, Spiderman, the Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, and the Submariner.  The opening of the Spiderman cartoon gave me a thrill, a rush of tension in my upper arms and middle chest.  When I saw it on youtube, I still got precisely the same thrill.  It’s interesting how persistent a conditioned response can be!  So here’s the stimulus.

That was exciting, but I didn’t get the thrill/tension in any body part as you described. Probably in part because that’s the first time I had seen that. Thanks for sharing, here are my fav childhood superheros, they still make me happy:

    Solomon + Hercules + Atlas + Zeus + Achilles + Mercury = SHAZAM! =
Captain Marvel (though I favored Billy Batson to Captain Marvel)

    Wonder Woman

Though I preferred the first season of Wonder Woman. “Get us out from under, Wonder Woman!”

Thank you for inspiring me to look for them!

Yeah I prefer the first season theme song too (“In your satin tights, fighting for your rights!”), but prefer the third season video intro.

I liked the first season better- the 1940’s setting gave it a pizazz it lacked when it was just the 70s.
