“Reporting from the mean streets of the cul-de-sac”

A spellbinding mini-memoir from our friend the PPRScribe.  My favorite moment: a neighbor, visiting the Scribe and her husband in their garage, goes on a bigoted rant about a Japanese guy who lives down the street.  Their reactions:

The Mister, who is less tactful than I am, got up and abruptly walked into the house. Leaving me to say, “__________.” (I leave that blank in the hopes that I come up with a sufficiently appropriate anti-racist come-back to insert later.)

There’s also a very nice photo with the post.

Love the photos, but the story morals or humor or irony is completely lost on me.

I don’t suppose there are many things in the world that suit everyone’s taste. Glad you like the photos, though. For me they fit perfectly with her stories.

What I meant to say is I don’t know whether, for example, the featured story is supposed to illustrate morals or humor or irony. I don’t understand the intent- the story leaves me confused.
