We like to keep the blogroll short. Some of us may maintain pages on bookmark sites for links to static web objects; for example, Acilius and Believer1 maintain bookmark pages on ”Delicious.”
We have pages here listing links to various sites that may or may not be on the blogroll. Pages like these are very old-fashioned, of course, but we find them useful. Click below to see the page of your choice.

General Interest Blogs and Miscellaneous- since Los Thunderlads is itself a general interest blog, we defend this unfashionable category
Language and Linguistics- dominated by things Acilius has seen mentioned on Language Log, but with some non-Log based entries here and there
News- some of the places we go to find out what’s going on
Periodicals and Web Magazines- including the homepages of the periodicals that regularly feature in the Periodicals Notes postings
Pictures, Artists, and Art Blogs- “Pictures” are mostly websites consisting of galleries of found images; “Artists” are personal or professional websites maintained by particular artists; and “Art Blogs” offer reviews of exhibits and commentary on the art scene
Political Blogs- mostly USA with a couple of Canadian bloggers. Most of the sites linked here are strongly opposed to warlike policies; the “antiwar Right” is particularly well represented.
Reference- online tools and resources
Religion- confessional and analytic
Science- blogs, YouTube channels, news feeds, picture galleries, magazines, etc, devoted to explaining scientific developments to nonspecialist audiences.
Ukulele- almost as much an outgrowth of Ukulele Hunt as the “Language and Linguistics” page is of the mighty Log, but again with a few things Acilius found on his own.
